I actually wish that was true it was never Luna's fault her sister never showed her own sister the love she needed so she turned as she should of and wow and what Celestia did sent her to the moon FOR 1000 YEARS come on Celestia that was just harsh -__-
Oh yeah, "Luna is Best Pony ever" just "so not totally" gave that away. Still, have you consider that the writers...I dunno, only have 22 mintues to focus on the episode than that scene? They can't focus on the fight for long, they need keep up the pace. Also, Celestia sealed NIGHTMARE MOON to the moon to keep the rest of the Equestria safe. Plus, she said she didn't leave her any choice. Plus, Nightmare Moon attacked her.
I know but honestly if you are going to leave your sister to suffer and turn that little more evil Luna tried to tell her but Celestia just wiped it off I do not hate Celestia really and could they not just make the episode a little bit long for the sake of that scene? but Nightmare moon was also in Luna's body so it was also sending her own sister to the moon and she did have a choice but only to take that risk okay so I am not a (fan) of any ponies I just seem to like Luna a lil, more than the rest as she is I do NOT fangirl over her and also watching season 4 you would clearly see Celestia where they could fit that scene did NOT reason with her only that slight harsh way what would even set me if I felt so depressed Celestia should of actually tried to reason with her in the scene it would not take that long Luna's inner demon is unstoppable to Luna unless she becomes happy or normal once more yeah Nightmare moon attacked her yet she was fed up with her sister and being Nightmare moon she would likely do so and 1000 years is way to harsh for her sister it was something that Celestia partly built up by wiping her sisters cries off like it was nothing she should of even tried to help her before it happened from cannon and fan this does build up to (Celestia just wiped it off) but yeah to the moon for 1000 years is crazy could she just not try to reason with her if in season 1 they said she reasoned with her why not actually reason with her? we know she did a little of the bad thing but so did Celestia it was not (Luna) being the full bad one as I said I am no huge fan girl I can just understand and relate to her myself I feel the same as my sister shines more than me and I do get depressed by it my sister sometimes I feel she knows more she gets more and just because she is a few mins older than me (we are twins) she should rule I am not picking at my sister I do love her but I relate to that same feeling and if I held a demon like Nightmare Moon likely by soon she would appear... I know I just get honestly depressed and sometimes even angry about it I know I should not be I just honestly have a hard time so yes I relate and this is how I understand what she felt is painful and hard to keep back Celestia not helping her sister when she needed it only made it carry on they both made a mistake.
One, I'm a girl. Two, watch season Four. Celestia speaks directly to Luna once and her words were hardly filled with understanding or love or any type of reasoning at all. Telling your obviously upset sister that she should lower the moon because it is her duty instead of something like Luna I will not fight you because I love you, you're my sister. I'm sorry, let's talk about this etc. Granted, Nightmare Moon was done talking and being ignored but at least Celestia would have tried. Honestly, I almost like to think that Celestia had no idea that Luna would be banished to the moon for so long and thought that the Elements would only imprison her for a short while, giving them both more time to think and work things out but with Celestia's extensive knowledge about everything else...that theory just doesn't make sense.
2. Already did, what's your point? 3. Because she already did before she went to confront Luna the second time. Well, Luna was acting very selfish from what I've seen. Celestia reluctantly banished her, plus, she does know. You can obviously see her crying. Well, the Elements have minds of their own, like the writers said, and Luna wasn't with Celestia to contain Elements' powers to do their bid.
I didn't see Celestia speak to Luna at all except in the throne room and I don't see Luna as being selfish at all. Yes, she made a major, /major/ mistake...but she was driven mad through years of loneliness and jealousy and of being ignored by her sister and her subjects. For a more outgoing personality that needs to be with people in order to be happy, such isolation would have devastating consequences. To me, Celestia seems to be more in the wrong than Luna, but that's just my opinion.
I’d always wondered what could happen if Nightmare Moon ever did come to power. I even had this idea of a story called “Age of Nightmare” and is somewhat based on Marvels’ “Age of Apocalypse” story. Trixie travels back in time to alter history in her favor by being the one who wields the Element of Magic instead of Twilight, only to fail and unintentionally bring about the Everlasting Night and the rule of Nightmare Moon.
Go ahead i would write the fanfic fist and then get onto the comic if you do the fanfic first you will have full detail of what is was like also i do sorta short but fairly good fanfics if your stuck maybe i could help with a line or two
